Stocks and shares are up because the first day of Brexit went very smoothly, plus COVID vaccine optimism.
New year, new hope.
I keep trying to be hopeful but Boris keeps pissing on my bonfire.
Hello. I know what you mean. We had a rather poor choice between Johnson and Corbyn at the general election. Now we've truly left the EU, I think it's important to be aware how the world sees the UK. Like it or not, Brexit has begun. So far, it is said that the UK has made a good start with Brexit and it is well ahead of others with developing COVID vaccines and antidotes (putting aside all the complications and speculations). The world sees credibility and optimism in the UK, hence many stocks and shares going up. It's not that I fully understand how stocks and shares work but I believe that it's good news for the UK economy in a global context.
As far as the future is concerned, I'm from Missouri.
