Psychology Today: Sex Robots And The End Of Civilization
[technocracy.news]
Sex as a longterm basis for a relationship just doesn't work.
It's the interaction between two people that fills life with love.
Relying on our animalistic physical appetites and desires leads to a life of blind gluttony, a void ever growing that can not be sated. Such a diminished view of mankind and what drives individuals leads to outright destruction of society. A misfit's dream? Perhaps, but also a psychopath's dream. Eugenicists would also love this. No risk of reproduction. There are just so many avenues to explore on long term results.
@toronto_Georgia Young people usually fall head over heels in lust. That's not a bad thing. That's what the young do but if you are really lucky the two form a true bond of friendship and deep love. This is about the only shield that can withstand all the things life flings at you. You make each other stronger.
@adriaan23 I know. Many of us in the last decade or so have found their true loving spouse. We ought to be very grateful to have the strength and love our unions bring to us through these trials and tribulations.
Those who buy sex robots don't deserve to remain in the gene pool anyway, and that's what they're doing - excluding their empty lives from the gene pool. Nothing beats the old fashioned way of raising a family. Doing it right has rich rewards.
Yup. But, like porn, it will become very addictive and lure fools to their demise. No difficult relationships, no compromise, no growing as a person, no need to discern good from bad, and zero need to please another soul. Ain't life grand... while you have it.
@toronto_Georgia I'd call that an empty life. Having the opportunity to overcome hurdles is its own reward. Builds character too.
