Is this a conservative community?
I may lean a bit right but common sense discussion with respect to all sides of the isle makes more sense to me. It is that attribute that seems to be lacking in most discussion groups and missing entirely from our political leaders.
While perhaps geared towards conservative-leaning individuals, this site is for anyone looking to discuss what are often considered controversial issues, and civil discussions at that.
Hopefully this site becomes known for being a-political. I want to encourage liberal (even far-Left) people to bring civil support for their opinions. This way, we can avoid being an echo chamber and get on with coming up with workable solutions. I'll think about a way to say this more clearly on the cover page. Thanks!
Contributers to the Intellectual Dark Web identify mostly as "classical liberal", with a few "classical conservative" followers. They mostly reject group identity and regressive leftism.

If you are interested in more leftism, try the agnostic.com site. It is inhabited by many virtue signalling regressives who see themselves as progressive free thinkers.
Seems like it so far, I'm from the UK and follow some of the people in the IDW like Ben and Peterson. Some interesting debates going on in different groups though.
