For several years CAD was $.73 to $1.00 USD. Now its CAD $.83 to $1.00 USD.

More CAD to 1 USD. If you're getting less USD for your CAD pension... Maybe you just overlooked this.

But over to the even bigger picture, all the world currencies are going down with the shrinking economies over Covid lockdowns.

@eschatologyguy Since I do this every single month, I do understand how it works. This year I have consistently been getting more USD deposited to my account, and it keeps getting better.

As to COVID and world economics, that is true, but IMF has both the SDR waiting to take over all currencies, as well as some new crypto they have set up. Unfortunately I can't remember the crypto name.

@toronto_Georgia if you're getting more USD, then this framing is not accurate, as with this you should be getting USDs.

When I was a boy it was PHP 7 to one USD. Now it's around PHP 48. Which means the PHP went down in value.

@eschatologyguy I do see your point. I know, it should be $1.00 CAD = $.83 USD. My bad.

But we're all F'd if IMF comes out with SDR.

@toronto_Georgia I looked at your above reply with disbelief. I checked to see the unthinkable (at least to me) has happened. The value of the CAD has indeed surpassed that of the USD. On the bright side at least you're getting more USD for your Canadian pension
