We refuse to. We have no cell phones (mostly not a problem) and we do not own a "smart" anything. Hopefully we personally are still able to fill that bill 
Orwell never dreamed we would have such amazing tech, certainly not to the extent we have today.
@toronto_Georgia In Orwell's day the technology we have today would have been considered science-fiction or fantasy. But I imagine he would not be surprised by how governments and oligarchs would be using it to it's fullest to control people.
