Well here it goes. The same story that many people can relate to. I was once a middle of the road Democrat that felt like I was middle left, only to realize after President Obama's first term that I was contradicting myself when it came to my philosophy and belief of what the role of Government should be. So as the curtains began to open for me when it came to the battle over collectivism and individual rights, Globalism vs Capitalism, along with the bias in the media... I realized I was on the wrong side. I realized I bought into the deception of identity politics rather than what role they wanted Government to play in my life. So over the past three years I almost post non stop on FB, usually posting quotes, or articles by Ben Shapiro, Rubin, and others. Now mind you I don't have an open account.. and just have friends and family on there. Ive had some good conversations.. and debates. But overall.. I end up posting without anyone even noticing. ... and i'm ok with that. Mostly because its a way for me to vent and feel like im getting things off my chest and writing them down. A small way for me to combat the bias in the media and show there is another side. Yet... after all my ramblings about censorship, and the dangers of collectivism.. it just seems that most people are tuned out.. and I can understand that to a certain amount. So.. like many people its just fustrating watching programing that never really has any honest debate.. other than on pod casts. Its scary actually to watch the constant programing knowing it works. So as I sit here.. seeing the left hold onto identity politics and use it as a weapon..and vilify and bully people with the help and protection of the media.. I wonder how we are truly going to tackle these issues and tackle the extreme lefts monopoly on the media? As much as I love being able to talk to like minded people.. I also am trying to get people to actually have conversations and debate... or at least point them to honest debate. Sigh... the struggle. Lol.. . anyway. I guess the answer is to just keep posting respectful posts that show the other sides view point... Im sure many of you feel the same way. Thanks for letting me rant. Keep talking to everyone.. and be who you are.. even if people prejudge you for it. We need more people to speak some truth in a way that might help people get out of their echo chambers. Im glad I found this board.. its great to be able to talk and converse on a platform that values speech.
