True. However, the "Robo-Cop" uniforms and tactics (training) were exhibited here by the Capital Police at the September 18th protests recently. I noted at the time the alarming robo uniforms and mannerisms... then later saw the same garb and mannerisms at one of the Melbourne crowd control situations. It did surprise me that special policing techniques were being deployed suddenly in two separate countries. Having now read that both forces had undergone training by Israeli special forces the two items above confirmed my suspicions. Over 100 cities worldwide have received this training and these uniforms and shields.
