According to the USDA, poultry can be sold as “fresh” if it has never been below 26° F. Excuse me, but isn’t 32° usually considered the freezing point? And there’s another misleading claim. This one is especially important with turkey season here. Poultry can be sold as “never been frozen” as long as it hasn’t been stored below 0° F. Read it in the USDA’s own words. This. is. crazy. “Never been frozen” says quite clearly that it, well… has never been frozen. I know from experience that chickens and turkeys at 10° are quite solidly frozen!

Scotty: You can't break the laws of physics.

As far as I'm concerned, fresh meat is meat that you personally killed, and cooked it the same day. It's the only way to be sure it's fresh.

Stockpile goats in your yard.

Klingon proverb: Gakh is best when served live, especially in the presence of Vegans.

Very few people these days can afford a yard . . . and if they can the PTB will not allow critters in the yard.

For the past 50 years the agencies of the Federal government have all been bought out by major corporations, thank you Tyson Foods and ConAgra, and populated by pseudo-communists/Nazis who want to get a lucrative job at those corporations.
