As is my custom, on this Memorial Day I ask you to remember the forgotten fallen who served America with honor. About 53,000 U.S. contractors were in the Middle East last year and since 2001, an estimated 8,000 contractors have died there. That figure is 1,000 more than U.S. troops who have been killed. Rockets, bombs and bullets aren't selective. These men and women aren't candidates for GI benefits or VA health care, they get no flag drapped coffin nor military funeral. What they do get is often a shallow grave in some third world cesspool. They deserve better.
