By creating a pool of resources from which we can all participate from time to time. It carries with it the best parts of care and compassion. It’s no longer care and compassion when it becomes a demanded requirement that compels us to meet every perceived need by an elite class. At times enabling individuals who refuse to contribute value to the broader society. Eventually this group increases and those contributing decreases. demanding more and more from the latter. Robing those hard working people of their hard earned money and placing ever greater demands on their time. Rewarding covetous behaviour and draining motivation, until eventually the system collapses on itself.
That’s the difference.
