Hello, I am in a debate kinda thing with a christen friend of mine. I brought up how the bible says some pretty bad things and he asked for specific quotes. Do you Jaclyn or anyone in this group have any quotes I could use?

Or just read the Bible yourself rather than opinion pieces cherry picking what suits the narrative. And since you’re debate Is with a Christian and not a Jew, read the New Testament, so you are fully informed on the foundation of Christian understanding.

Exodus 21:20-21 is a pretty good one though:
"Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property."
So, according to the Bible, it's perfectly fine to own another human being as a slave, just don't go killing them or beating them too badly. Only beat your slaves up to the point where they can still get back up after a day or two.
