We already know why. But to bring it up only gets us labeled as racists, white supremacists, and conspiracy theorists because too many people are "following the narrative" without applying an ounce of critical thinking to it. And that's completely by design.

I know a lot of people probably don't think highly of me because I espouse the belief that the America we love is done and now is the time to hunker down for the long winter and teach our children in quiet. They'd rather pick up their guns and go out in a heroic blaze of glory watering the tree of liberty. But you know something? Those people don't think critically either. If they did, they'd understand two things: A) your government WANTS you to do that; they're poking you in the chest and pissing on your shoes because they want you to do something incredibly violent in order to give them additional justification to enact authoritarianism; and B) the reason they are okay with you doing this is because THEY CONTROL THE NARRATIVE. You won't be remembered as heroes and patriots any more than the people who rioted on 1/6 are thought of as heroes and patriots. Your actions won't inspire anyone because your story will never get told.

The time to fight was decades ago; the time to pay attention was decades before that. We collectively failed on both of those counts. We allowed the authoritarians to take control, and that includes a healthy number of the Republicans you voted for even though they haven't done anything to represent your interests in decades.

And so to swing back around to my original point: they are doing whatever they want because they control the narrative and have raised generations of our children to never question the narrative. And it's only going to get worse. Choose wisely.

If I'm pissed at this when I'm not even American, I can imagine how this would make US Patriots feel.
