Imagine if Republicans sent 10 police men to harass a Democrat. Democrat protesters would go nuclear.
Every time a Democrat talks about police brutality, I mention the police harassment of Giuliani and other Republicans.
Democrats feel that harassing Giuliani was justified.

It's not that they hate the police, they hate police when laws are applied equitably.
(I'm going to label all my important stuff "Hunter Biden Laptop" just in case. )
On Democrat discussion boards, Democrats are celebrating the attack on Giuliani, not realizing that that creates a weakness in the Democratic stance. The Republican rebuttal is easy. Just say: "Political prosecution!"
Democrats use dirty tactics. If you have to use dirty tactics to win, then you are the evil one. I challenge Democrats to win by playing fairly.
Now that the police are not obligated to respond to a call, the police can decide who to help. That's a lot of power, and the power can be wielded arbitrarily and without check. The consequence is that the police will go corrupt.
The only security you can trust is private security.
@jaymaron "the police can decide who to help." That is an interesting point. I was seeing a default result of mostly black areas losing whatever wealth they had accumulated and devolving to two generations of poverty (best case scenario.)
My assumption was a passive reaction by cops rather than an active reaction by cops and govt. Seems my assumption was rainbows and lollipops. "Police will go corrupt." That would be the safest, most money and easiest money for the cops (and up)
I don't take the Malice position that all cops are inherently corrupt but the corruption seems much more pernicious than I thought originally.
My feeling is that the fraction of cops that are corrupt is large, and the fraction of cops that are jerks is large. It's a systemic problem, and cops had the responsibility to tackle this, and they didn't. This is serious negligence. I therefore feel that all cops, even the good ones, are on the hook for being corrupt and jerks.
I sure hope patriotic commanders in the US military are keeping tabs and making war game scenarios on this one.
