We all know it won't happen, but in light of Jim Crow laws, the Compromise of 1877, and the DNC's early support of the KKK, why shouldn't the Democratic party be subjected to the same fate as the statues and other landmarks that allegedly have a racist history?

obviously the Democratic Party belongs in that same category, that's why they clutch their pearls with all their might and pretend so hard to be outraged by it all...
They wail and cry about the "Sins of America" to dodge responsibility; those weren't the sins of "America"... they were the sins of Democrats, and to this day they haven't changed anything but their tactics.

Democrats hid under hoods so they would not be known as the founders of the KKK in 1968. It was an ad-hoc association of militants whose purpose was to stop black voters from voting for Lincoln. Almost all of its membership was, and still is Democrat. Easy to verify.
I agree with you that the Democrats are only qualified as one of the two in our two party system, if they are loyal to the Constitution. They are not. Their purpose to subvert the Constitution is proven in their actions in the KKK, many corrupt politicians like Huey P Long, all the way up to Rod Blagojavich, their unConstitutional threatening of the Supreme Court, resulting in Wickard v. Filburn, Affirmative Action, Segregation, Obamacare.... Republicans have always been about preservation of the Constitution. Democrats have even tried to pervert that truth. Democrat leadership only cares about power, and the Constitution is a threat to that ambition. So pandering to their gullible utopian base is only natural.
A far better party would be the Libertarians as the "loyal opposition." They are clearly loyal to the Constitution, and are definitely not in lockstep with Republicans.
