I’ve been posting lately on how miserably Christianity — now reviled by the young — is failing the culture just when we need it most.
Here’s a great example from Vancouver. A Black evangelical has been coming into the city’s largest gay neighbourhood screaming though a bullhorn that residents will soon “burn in hell”. Last night the preacher’s bodyguards allegedly attacked gay man, severely fracturing his leg.
Because of the intersectional clusterf**k — black preacher, freedom of speech, gay equality, and religion — police had been afraid to make a move.
At the end of the day, who gets smeared? Christians. The street preacher is too stupid to understand he’s undermining his own cause.

It is so easy to generalize about Christians and Christianity,
From a position of ignorance, outside the faith.
Organized religions are man made and like every other human institution, seldom agree.
Faith is a one on one relationship with the personification of all that is good. Human beings aren’t capable of such riteousness, but at least we try.
Before you go passing judgement on what you clearly don’t understand; Educate yourself

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary explanations, and I have yet to hear an explanation explaining god, or anything of the supernatural. Until science can show such a being as god must exist, I'll remain skeptical!

that's not skepticism - it is a complete lack of faith. if you only acknowledge things available to your senses then you could not possibly argue or discuss any philosophical ideas; you could not have hope for things to be better...you would be pretty much an automaton responding only and only capable of responding to sensory stimuli. @angelo What kind of explanation would you accept? And what do you mean by "supernatural"? I don't think Science is the yard-stick by which all truth should be measured, that is, considering how often theories and notions in science change.
Skepticism is good, but I think the existence of a God is rather obvious... And logical considering the evidence at hand.
DNA.... its not a naturally occurring substance. all life has it. therefore, by definition, all living things are unnatural. all things that occur naturally occur repeatedly and in concentration. tar pits, gold veins, and clouds are great examples of this. I've asked many formerly trained microbiologists about this and to date, no examples of DNA geysers, mines, or pools have been located. for all of our work with DNA we have yet to be able to create it, only manipulate it. I understand people believe what they want and I have no expectation that any of this will hold meaning for you, but if you discover something regarding the formation of DNA that I haven't please let me know !! thanks in advance !!
it doesn't surprise me that this happens. also not surprising that you guys miss the mark when trying to understand what's happening. the irony is that the Bible spells.out quite clearly, not only what, but why this is happening and whats to come. no one can force you to seek out the lord, and you can judge people who try to warn you of the consequences, but your mistake is in holding another to a higher standard than you hold yourself, over looking your own faults in order to pass judgment on others for theirs.
