At this point it doesn’t matter who you vote for, but who’s counting the votes.

@FEWI There are definitely legitimate questions about vote counts, too.

If every eligible voter who cares votes, that's one easy step every eligible voter can take towards reaching the right outcome, but yes, the system needs a massive overhaul too.

The left says there is no evidence of widespread fraud. Some on the right dispute that. Whether the evidence is there or not, the fact is that the necessary checks and balances are either not in place to adequately detect and isolate fraudulent votes, or they are not being used properly. It is difficult to find evidence in a system that seems almost designed to be opaque. Add to that the fact that humans with personal biases and flaws are necessarily (and some, perhaps, unnecessarily) involved in the process, and you have a process that is difficult to manage in a way that ensures accuracy and fairness. For these reasons, when fraud is found, it should be taken seriously and immediately trigger a thorough investigation to determine whether there is a coordinated fraud attempt, and how widespread it is.

There is also the question of the Dominion voting machines and supporting systems, and whether they have been tampered with, but the hand recounts should remedy that - provided new votes don't find their way into the count, or existing ones disappear. Does the average American have any guarantee that won't happen?

There is also the Bush v Gore route, and the question of whether it is lawful to have voters in some states (and not others) contacted after the fact and given the opportunity to fix their votes that would otherwise have been invalid because of errors in the way they filled them out (like forgetting to sign). Apparently some states are not even requiring matching signatures! So in addition to having fraud-enabling procedures, either some voters are being disenfranchised, or other voters are being super-enfranchised, or both. The fact is that votes are being treated unequally, which violates the constitution.

You also have governors who have unilaterally decided to change voting procedures, citing COVID-19 as justification. The constitution puts voting procedures squarely under the authority of state legislatures, thereby rendering all votes unconstitutional that were cast according to the executive-altered procedures.

I would like to see this presidential election sent to house delegations and the system fixed for next time. If enough states fail to cast their electoral votes for the above reasons (and/or any other reasons), that may well happen.
