The “good Dr’s view is that white folks are inherently wrong, because they’re white. A little narrow in her interpretation of the information in my humble opinion, and yes I am white, was married to a Latin lady of Caribbean decent and the grandfather to a beautiful mixed (half black, not that it matters) young woman that I love more than life. There are certainly differences in how all people view race and the history all of the different view share...everyone does not share the same experiences and therefore cannot fully understand anyone’s particular point of view. My problem with that mindset is that it is assumed, based on the color of my skin that I have one view, and you assume that your view is correct because of the color of yours. I do not excuse history, I just accept it for what it was and try to learn from it. There were some good along with the bad. Trying to erase or otherwise bury the past does not make the “sins” go way, nor do you have the opportunity to learn. Honest, object viewing, subject, is how we learn and move forward. As a psychologist she should know this.
