@JacksonNought Yes, guy was a hypocrite. The govt is using its powers to systematically oppress dissenters. The app and phone communications cannot be viewed without court order and evidence of specific national interest or safety issues. These searches were illegal.

The church has a long history of being against abortion, Biden volunteered to join that organization. He's still allowed in the organization but cannot participate in all functions. Biden made a personal choice to abide by the rules of the organization by joining. Biden is allowed to change his mind.

@Penrodster actually the government had absolutely nothing to do with this. Apps typically sell their data to third parties, it is part of their TOS. A right-wing Catholic publication bought this data, and then gave the information to the Catholic Church to "out" this man. Nothing illegal about this either. There are a lot of people to blame, the government is not one of them in this specific case.

@Penrodster also Biden has claimed he is pro-life. His personal morals are consistent with the Catholic Church. However, as an elected official of the United States of America, one who takes an oath to uphold the Constitution, he recognizes that he cannot push his faith onto others or try and pass laws for his particular religious viewpoints.

Many Christian denominations preach against greed and think it is better to help the needy than hoard wealth, yet tons of Christian politicians act directly opposite of that.

@JacksonNought I don't know what Giuliani did that was nazi like. I have seen some of the pictures of H Biden with what looked like seriously underage girls from the laptop. It seemed to me the laptop was a legitimate source of evidence for crimes.

The Biden admin is pushing harder on abortion than any previous administrations, the general consensus of the people or restrictions in Europe. With Biden leading the charge calling him pro life is a weird twist.
Throughout Europe the limit is around 20 weeks, this seems like the American consensus.

@Penrodster you can have your own personal morals while respecting that as a representative of hundreds of millions of people with different viewpoints you should not force your morals on them.

Many Christian denominations belief in the whole "trad wife" philosophy, where women should be at home raising children and be subservient to their husbands, and they should not have careers or vote or hold any authority over men. Many Christian denominations believe being gay is an abomination, and think they should not be allowed to get married - some even think they should be incarcerated or put to death. But if someone with these viewpoints becomes an elected official, representing diverse people with freedom of religion, they should not be trying to force their personal beliefs onto others. No more than a Muslim president should push for Sharia Law to be enacted. So yes, you can still be a Catholic who is pro-life, while still recognizing that others should be allowed to make their own choices.

As for the Biden laptop topic, the Trump administration and Giuliani (on behalf of the government) supposedly acquired a laptop and used it try and leak information about Hunter Biden in attempts to hurt Joe's campaign. If you think that the current administration leaked data about a gay bishop, and that is equivalent to Nazi tactics, then the former administration leaking data is no different.

@JacksonNought Hunter Biden was/is involved in felony crimes. Illegal firearm, illegal disposal of firearm, illegal drugs, what looked like seriously underage girls. I do not expect any kind of criminal investigation.

Catholic church allows gay people to serve assuming they don't partake. If they partake there is a process where they go to different jobs, counseling, try again type thing. Doing gay stuff is against the rules not against the law. I expect this guy to be hounded and likely criminally investigated.

I looked and I did not find a "right wing" group outing him, it was something else.
