The government has denied this claim. It has denied any intention of depriving citizens of food for not receiving the vaccination. But the CBC reports that the minister's announcement is still troubling. It is particularly troubling when efforts to charge the unvaccinated more for health insurance. Some have even called for the denial of death benefits. So, the restricting the unvaccinated is are real discussion, not a misunderstanding.
