2310161100M CRIMINALITY?
Justice can never be blind when its sworn officers are held exempt from its laws.
A person that will commit a crime under color of law is morally (more reprehensible) worse than the criminal that commits the same crime in the course of their ‘criminality.’ How one can state that ignorance is no excuse for the average citizen and not apply the same standard to all officers of the courts, including police officers, is a travesty of justice.
In determining ‘criminality’ the standards absolutely must be higher for sworn law enforcement officers than the average citizen for justice to be actually blind in these United States of America.
A person that makes their living by the sword cannot also be exempt from that same sword – the sword of justice has two edges not just one. Lady justice wields a double edged sword – not a scimitar.
A crime is a crime no matter who perpetrates it. I don’t hear of Qualified Immunity being give the average criminal – so why is it given to law enforcement officers that have sworn an oath to guard the Constitution and uphold the laws of the land they’re charged with protecting?
Qualified Immunity is a crime against the United States Constitution and the citizens it protects.
PS1. Nor do criminals get paid suspensions (vacations) for their misdeeds.
PS2. The only way to stop bad police officers is to mercilessly give them criminal records just as they do their fellow citizens daily without compunction.
