The romantic, progressive, leftist, woke idea of the human parasite is truly disgusting. It was built on the nutty ideas of Jean Jacques Rousseau who believed envy, competition, aggression and violence resulted from humans gathering in groups and communities. Thus his ideal of the “noble savage”, innocently swinging from tree branches in the virgin wilderness.

This idea has gained new life during the Covid crisis as woke sentimentalists opine about Mother Nature’s “reset”, and flood the web with conspiracy theories and meme’s reimagining the pandemic, not as a health crisis, but a social justice issue. Truly makes me sick

Nigeria and Africa as a whole have the highest population growth. Warehouses seems to be the highest growth businesses. It seems there may be a time where a cork needs to be put in place somewhere.

"The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels" (book) by Alex Epstein is the most complete argument I've read on the topic. I still have to check out Moore's vid but I am certain it will not eclipse the case Epstein puts together.

@NonAgrssvMight It it doesn’t eclipse Epstein. Not even close. THe film merely raises the green fraud as a building block toward its central, woke-progressive message: the film makers see climate change as a symptom of the larger, “real” issue of overpopulation.

So while the attack on renewables is a surprise, the movie, at its core is still woke-leftist agitprop that disgustingly views humans as parasites.

How has the left managed to so effectively black ball fossil fuels and mining — without which wind turbines and solar cells couldn’t exist?

@waynus woke progressives melt down when the media is called “the enemy of the people.” But your point is important because the media refuses to ask questions that don’t fit the woke narrative: anything related to the environment, race or gender. Anyone asking those questions is shouted down as a racist, a bigot or a denier.

The media is failing the people completely.

Harvesting energy in the quantity needed to service our present population is going to have negative consequences no matter how we source it. How long does a single large wind turbine last, and how many polluting materials and manufacturing processes to make it? Solar energy takes up surface space and changes the land that it covers, along with toxic waste from making collectors. LED bulbs while electrically efficient are made with toxic materials. I don't know if cost/benefit analysis have been made on the different sources, but it probably should.
