In fact WordSmythe Unlimited thinks it not a little unfortunate that certain woke individuals find it necessary to superimpose their current political perspective on past events and persons. But it happens, hence the “need” for the new word.
The new word Asslighting is similar to the word Gaslighting except that it refers specifically to the revising of history to include and emphasize the LGBTQ agenda.
Example: Tom Holland says that Spiderman could be gay.
Correct usage of the word asslighting: There is no indication in the comic canon whatsoever that Peter Parker had homosexual tendencies, latent or otherwise. (I mean other than the spandex thing, but that’s kind of a vocational hazard for superheroes.) There is no LGBTQ Time Machine Gay Butterfly Effect. So as to the insertion… er assertion that Spiderman could be gay. No, no he could not. Do Not Asslight Spiderman.
Another example: Pete Buttigieg says that some past presidents were almost certainly gay. Perhaps but certainly? Perhaps only in the sense that the connotation of the word gay has changed greatly over time. In years past Gay, was a popular name for girls. And one Christmas Carol’s lyrics declaim, “Don we now our gay apparel…”
Correct usage of the word – Do not make vague asslighting assertions… also Do Not Asslight Santa Claus.

Just as a math thing, TWO presidents COULD have been gay (+ or -, of course with chance). HOWEVER, you can't rule out the possibility that different populations of people do not adhere to randomness. Something in the personality attributes of Presidents may be distinct from the normal distribution. In fact, that's arguably the case, though that may not extend to sexuality. EVERY 45 people doesn't contain 2 gay people to start with, and that's IF the population of presidents is no different from the general population. It's sloppy reasoning in just about every way you can imagine. The character written is what it is. People want to reinvent the character because of politics, but that doesn't change the origins of the character. Postmodernists trying to blur every line. Postmodernism is going to be short-lived, and I'm glad. Tick, tick, tick.
Nothing good in asslighting. So many jokes. None good.
