I'm not afraid to say I don't give much of a damn about the events of 9/11. They're horrific, but the event showed how soft and reactionary our society had become. We had the delusion of invincibility. And then it was shattered.
Had the US just cleaned up and moved on, nothing would've happened. But nope! Gotta add fuel to the fire of Islamic Conservatism and destabilize an ever-increasing portion of the world.

The idea that architects, mechanical engineers and electrical engineers have fully reviewed the NIST report and understand it enough to criticize the "structural" analysis with such broad strokes is truly bizarre. The structural engineers that suggest that progressive collapse isn't possible are failing their history course (Oklahoma City comes to mind). The blanket statement that the NIST report isn't thorough can be made against any report.
