I’d love to see AOC defeated but this speculation is total hogwash — frankly, she is bulletproof: young, attractive, ethnic and progressive.
US politics is driven by money, and, like Donald Trump, this is where the AOC star power dominates. She’s raised almost $3.5-million for other candidates, and she has a personal war chest of almost $2-million. Her nearest Republican rival has $420,000 — barely 20% of AOC’s war room budget.
So why does she have 11 rivals? Well, the three Democrats want to raise their profiles and gain experience. The 8 Republicans going at her want a big fight. They want to put her on the spot and damage the Democratic brand.
The New York media describes her rivals’ odds as “a moonshot”.

AOC is an actress hired to be an expendable lighting rod, so the Left can float absurd ideas to see which ones an ignorant base will accept. If she loses, there could be someone just as vapid or worse, until the voters in that district somehow wake up enough to overcome the voter fraud there.
