I don't think ANY one has the right numbers at this point

@RemiDallaire, You're right. I don't know the exact numbers. I know for sure that the COVID-19 numbers are the very first time in history anyone has carefully tracked ANY virus in real time and fed it to the public, and I know for sure that those numbers prove that the virus is still far below annual mortalities from tuberculosis, measles, and flu - over which we never shut down nations. And as we see the COVID-19 logarithmic curves show a change in the trend - indicating a peak is near, we can expect a confirmation of Dr Neil Ferguson's latest predictions that this is not much worse and maybe not worse than the annual flu. That will prove the overreaction driven by a public in panic, and the media throwing gasoline on that fire.

I just saw a stat that says 400K died of AIDS in the same time period!!!!

I go to trusted sources like Breitbart [breitbart.com], DailyWire [dailywire.com], DailyCaller [dailycaller.com], Drudge Report [drudgereport.com], Epoch Times [theepochtimes.com], GatewayPundit [thegatewaypundit.com], InfoWars [infowars.com], SGTreport [sgtreport.com], Zero Hedge [zerohedge.com], [pjmedia.com], [thefederalist.com], [dcclothesline.com]

But you'll have to test them yourself. And when I can, I go to original sources like the CDC. 400k due to AIDS sounds like a Worldwide number that makes sense from numbers I read recently.

And yes, if you check those sources, you might come to the conclusion that we badly overreacted on this one.

Just for reference, in 2018 2,046,549 deaths occurred in the US due to all causes except suicide according to the CDC. Not a whisper from the press. We didn't shut down the nation. Nobody blamed Trump. Today 7,004 deaths from COVID-19 in the US.

@TimTuolomne Tim, I went into law enforcement in my real early 20's. I have not believed in the media since the early 70's. I have been involved in many things that were later reported by the MEDIA! I have, on many occasions, not even recognized the event I was involved in, based on the information provided by the MEDIA!
I have, personally, been totally mis-quoted by the media several times!!
Also, after being in law enforcement for over 25 years, I know EYE WITNESSES are seldom the best source of information!!!!!!!!!!

I have had the same experience as representative for a homeowner association, meeting the Mayor of LA about a natural disaster in 1980, and later reading the press account turning it into some kind of political issue, among other really disappointing experiences with the press.
