Well if one good thing comes out of this it will be a proper understanding if the 2nd Amendment. I was actually wondering when people were going to bring the bystanders into this. But that ine comment. I wish i could comment in the original thread “Quiet you, those don't exist!”

You will be taken down and taken in... not nicely, either.
You will be charged with obstructing justice, and probably 9 other things.
And, the guy that was being arrested will still be arrested. But he might be alive because you acted.
A law that absolves you from accountability in such cases, would be so thoroughly misguided and abusable that I'm surprised we don't already have one in Democrat jurisdictions.

If they cheered the cop on... yeah, they are liable.
Public interfering with cops is the last thing you want... ever heard if obstruction of justice?

Pretty sure we all agree what was being done to Floydd was not justice. That is why the 2nd Amendment exist to give people the ability to act in the situations where the State (police) are abusing their power without regal repercussions. What your statement probes is that we have become so complacent and scared to appose cops because we believe they know best and we can't stop them

Agreed... however letting Joe public decide when to interfere or not in a police arrest... I would trust the police over Joe Public any day. There are much less corrupt cops than ignorant and stupid people.
Of course we can construct extreme cases where the police are clearly in the wrong and we need to act, sure enough, then you are correct.
Would it not be better if we are able to keep cops accountable and let them do their jobs?
I am not American so maybe I am completely in the wrong here.
@Hanno i mean like the comment above says you can sort of do whatever in the US so long as you can defend it. Im not reallybsure you can create a baseline for when it would be appropriate to step in. Andcwe do hold cops accountable or at least the 2nd Amendmant allows us to but so many in the US see themselves as powerless to do anything. They forget the government is there to serve and protect ys not the othervway around. Its when we grant them the power we have they even think they can getbaway with something like this since they know we won't fight back
Knuckleheads who get their understanding of police procedures and Constitutional law from TV, and come up with stuff like this sound like fools.
