Their faces are a bit sour, but it is because all faces in Soviet Union were naturally sour, no fake smiles whatsoever.
This is the stability and peace of mind that United States sadly lacks and what progressive leaders of the Left are trying to establish.

Honestly, you can't believe anything you see from the former Soviet Union. Notice there are no other black folks in the picture. This smacks of a propaganda picture that the old USSR and other eastern bloc satellite countries used to do all the time.
We'd see these kind of pictures in the west from time to time, trotted out by left wing publications; no one outside of Marxist academia or their "useful idiots" (to quote Trotsky) ever bought it.

I'm sure not. Looting earned someone a one-way ticket to Siberia. Unless it was government sanctioned looting, of course.
There were regular "incidents" with African students in Moscow, although they were mostly small theft, sexual assault and brawling. All these incidents would earn a student a ticket back to his home country and cancellation of his study.

In Moscow we had hundreds of black students every year being indoctrinated in Communist ideology. We still do have this university, although the ideology is slightly altered.
