20.06.15.0400 WHEN DID ‘PEOPLE’ BECOME A PRONOUN?: In no way is anything harsh intended by this post. This (obviously sensitive) woman has managed to be in the wrong place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time? I think the former, no the later – hell I don’t know nor should I care. To start with she’s a commendable in all respect save the one I’m posting about. But I KNOW she’s not alone in this as it’s the common view of the public that Men are dispensable in our society. So I don’t even think it’s her fault that when describing the homeless pervasive in her neighborhood she describes them as “PEOPLE.”
Two police officers were shot & one woman OR 100 soldiers three women died today on & on it goes.
Lest we forget the old: “Women & Children first.”
It’s just that I’ve never heard anyone point out ‘THAT PEOPLE’ over there.
So I looked up ‘PRONOUN’ & it left me wondering why ‘THAT PEOPLE’ over there isn’t being among other things MIS-GENDERED? After all this gendering has been center stage quite a while now being used to beat Men over the head with.
I commend her noble honest on her cause, I’m just piggybacking on it to call attention to a MEN’S RIGHTS ISSUE – disposable homeless Men.
