Same thing. They find it tiresome because they have it good enough not to need to get involved. It's not like people who find themselves in the necessity of trying to change things does it out of love for politics, come on.

I am saying that I am looking to help wherever it is I can help to make this end, but I don't see anybody willing to do anything anywhere. You are probably not quite as hungry. But you're probably not quite as religious as you think either; because you would be taking other people's survival into consideration too if you were, not just your own. At least according to the religions with a bible in them. No problem with religion at all. I do have a problem with people who claim to be religious, but they scream louder that they are not with their actions. It is actually their fault religion lost all of its influence in society. If you acted the way you claim you feel, people wouldn't have lost their faith.

ok so this post is about to get really long so I appologize... but....
there's something you need to know about belief.

1. it matters because it is the foundation on which every decision you make is based.
2. it is wholey and absolutely free.
   you buy a car because you believe it will function
   you take medicine because you believe you are ill, you believe the medicine will help, you believe you will get better.
   you believe when you eat that you will not choke on your food. belief controls your life.
   belief is chosen. it requires nothing but the will to believe it.
   people believe in aliens. people believe communism is just and moral. people don't believe in guns. people believe there are no genders, people believe there are thousands of genders. people believe abortion isn't murder and some people even believe that freedom is only freedom when they say it is.
   people don't need proof to believe something. people can believe things in spite of proof. you are absolutely free to believe what ever they like.
   my pont is... what does it profit anyone to worry over others that have chosen to believe what they want ?
   you act as tho I do nothing to try to help other, and yet here we are, im trying to get you to understand you are arbitrarily limiting yourself because of what you believe and you refuse to believe it. amazing !

@solopro Fine. I don't know if you've ever gone hungry for any period of time, but all those social norms and ethical and moral values don't apply anymore. I wish I could afford a perspective where I could be sympathetic and agree. But I really seriously don't think you know how priorities shift when your life is on the line. Ever seen a post of mine where I completely humiliate myself? Some of those are results of balancing whether or not to invest in my public persona and appreciation when there may not be any future left for me to capitalize on; so I choose to purge my negative emotions out instead, as that may linger along after your consciousness is no longer receiving stimuli from the body. The world doesn't change, but our perspectives make them different. That's why sympathy is not enough, but empathy seems something forgotten to history by now.... at least to me. Sorry I went into a rant as well...

@A1fredo thats ok, in fact, its the fundamental difference between us. to you nothing is worse than suffering. you will never give your life, or even risk your life for anything because its all you have. you will not hesitate to sell out your principles to maintain your comfort level and guarantee safety.

my life consists of things I will kill and die for. I won't sell out my principles, I have suffered, my life has even completely altered course because I refused to compromise my beliefs. that's on me, but its also why the suffering stopped. I've gambled my life and its worked out, but I was absolutely willing to accept death should I have failed. you cling to life with a desperation reserved for the atheist and the ones who recognize their own condemnation. because you value nothing more than your life, your life will never have value.
