I think you're right on both counts.
Remember, Reagan was and actor, his stock and trade was speaking to large a audience, TRUMP was a businessman, his stock and trade was negotiations with smaller groups!!!!
Both great men and good at what they do, just different styles!!!
Like me, when I started working in retail, the boss asked me what experience I had in retail!! I told him NONE!!!
Then I explained that I had 25 plus years of talking people into doing what they DID NOT want to do, how hard could it be to talk people into to doing what they DID WANT TO DO??!!!
