de-criminalize drugs now! and completely disband DEA.

If only the majority of the people in this country could see what the police, fire, and medical people see day in and day out. People do terrible things to each other and this often sets off a chain of events, and they don't always end well. When the police show up, not everyone drops their head like a scolded child, and does what they are told to. I just keep hoping that sanity will return to this country and once again people will be held accountable for their own actions and choices. If we continue to blame the victims and the emergency responders for the choices of others, well this will not end well either.

"War on drugs"? Didn't America spend endless funds on that any only managed to enrich the drug dealers to the point where they said screw it, we are getting into the business as well. So they legalized weed for taxes, and they got into bed with big pharma, creating prescription drugs and opioid epidemic.

The moral and cultural fabric of society has fallen apart and cope with that many turned to drugs, either as drug users or drug dealers, sometimes both. War on Drugs is pointless. If America fixed its cultural problems and declared war on Cultural Marxism instead of War on Drugs or racism or something else, than it would be different outcome.

Just like so called war on poverty.

The stated goal of the War on Poverty, as enunciated by Lyndon Johnson on January 8, 1964, was, “…not only to relieve the symptom of poverty, but to cure it and, above all, to prevent it.” Measured against this objective, the War on Poverty has not just been a failure, it has been a catastrophe. It was supposed to help America’s poor become self-sufficient, and it has made them dependent and dysfunctional.

What turned the War on Poverty into a social and human catastrophe was that the enhanced welfare state created a perverse system of incentives, and people adapted to their new environment.

That people would adapt to a changed social/economic environment should have surprised no one. After all, everyone living today is here because 50,000+ generations of their ancestors managed to adapt to whatever circumstances they found themselves in, at least well enough to produce and raise offspring.

The adaptation of the working-age poor to the War on Poverty’s expanded welfare state was immediately evident in the growth of various social pathologies, especially unwed childbearing. The adaptation of the middle class to the new system took longer to manifest, but it was no less significant. " - Louis Woodhill

It basically increased and sustained welfare state where people who work pay to those who don't work, until the non workers outnumber the workers and whole thing collapses.

Just the same is "war on drugs". If you make culture that demand responsibility of individuals you don't have poverty and you don't have drug problems on any comparable scale we have today.

But today its probably too late, this has to run it course and clear out the bad blood. At the expense of many.
