Caucasians are the only ethnicity that doesn't participate in identity politics. As evidenced by the number of Caucasians who remain in the Democratic Party even though the Democratic Party exists solely to pander to minorities.

We do need more whites in SCOTUS. Assuming that Barrett wins the nomination then SCOTUS will be 22% Jewish, 11% black, 11% Hispanic, and only 56% white. A more fair representation would be achieved by removing the two Jews and replacing them with one white and one Asian.

@WhiteDebbil Assuming your statistics are correct, having done a quick search of my own on US demographics, it would seem that you are pretty well spot on if you are looking for each of the listed races to be represented in SCOTUS in proportion to their US populations.

I would prefer to skip the identity politics altogether and have it based on merit rather than race. For that to be accepted in society, it needs to be understood that equality of opportunity rarely, if ever, produces equality of outcome.

In a perfect world there would be no need for identity politics. But the reality is, for Caucasians in America, embracing identity politics is going to be necessary for survival once Caucasians lose their majority status in America - which will occur in about 25 years.

America will resemble Brazil at first - South Africa later on.

@Triumph I agree with your assessment of what America will eventually resemble if it continues down its current path... I just see white identity politics as a continuation of that same path, and that's exactly what the Marxists (like the leaders of BLM) want. The useful idiots think they are fighting for equality, whereas the leaders actually want to start a race war, which they can use to initiate a revolution and seize dictatorial power.

During the cold war, USA's enemies initiated an ideological subversion effort to divide and conquer USA from the inside, using racial tensions. The results of that are playing out now.

Rejection of virtue signaling towards one ideology does not necessitate embracing the binary opposite ideology. That is also a form of virtue signaling towards those of the less widely supported ideology (saying "Watch my courageous crusade against the oppressors!" ) and only exacerbates the conflict unnecessarily. An enemy of my enemy may want to kill me, too!

It is best to stand for precisely one's own beliefs rather than the polar opposite of someone else's.

I think your opinions of virtue signaling and identity politics would be different if you had lived your life in America.

America has developed extremely stark cultural differences between the Caucasian and black races and our virtue signaling white Communist useful idiots are a very lost, self hating group of people.

Blacks in America's large inner cities are creating body counts which are typically only encountered in wars. Mostly, they're black on black killings. But that's largely because whites understand that it's not safe to enter those areas and avoid them.

You and I live in very different worlds.

Well, I'm sure my lived experience is very different to yours. I see news of what is going on over there and it's horrifying!

We, in Australia, are heading in the same direction, and our indigenous people (who are black) are being used by the BLM Marxists in much the same way following the deaths of George Floyd, etc. We are (at least in my state) nowhere near as far along yet as America is. Down south it seems they are racing to catch up, though!

I hope we can turn things around before we get to where you are, and I don't think playing the other side of identity politics will achieve that for us. I just hope we draw the right conclusions as we observe the "experiments" going on over there and learn the right lessons insomuch as they apply to us.

@DaveO276 I think it was Ayn Rand who said that you can deny reality but you can't deny the consequences of denying reality. White's all over the world have been brainwashed into denying the reality of race and now we're suffering the consequences of denying racial realities.
