Has anyone read the Niven + Pournelle novel "Lucifer's Hammer"? Asteroids destroy the coastal
cities, civilization collapses, reality is enforced, and physicists rule.
Anyone feel like writing a group novel? If Biden is president it will no longer be possible
to do anything constructive with Federal government, and fiction is the only way.

Don't wait until after the election to implement election reform.
After the Big One hits San Francisco they will cry for pity and help, but they did nothing
to prepare in advance. Call them out on this now.
Anybody anywhere taking proactive measures against natural disasters?
If we find an asteroid that's going to hit the Earth, the only chance is to have a hydrogen
bomb already in orbit and ready to go to the asteroid. We don't have such an apparatus in place.
Credit Trump with establishing the Space Force.
We also need shotgun-style telescopes for finding asteroids. We only have 1, the Pan-STARRS, and we only
have 1 under construction, the LSST.
If a big asteroid hits an ocean it destroys every city on the coast of that ocean.
