Do you remember the gasoline shortages of the early 1970's??? Long lines at the pumps, and if you were lucky, you could get enough to get to and from work!!! Get ready it is coming again!!!
Do you think you can order the things you need ON LINE, and have them delivered??? Who will deliver them??? NO ONE will have gasoline!!!!
Now consider all the other things in your life that start with OIL!!! Guess what???
And this is just the beginning of Uncle Sleepy Joe's plan!!! Or at least the plan his handlers are giving him!!! Wait two years to when Camella Hairass takes over!!!! then the SH-t will really hit the fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I were governor of a red state I would declare it to be a nuclear
sanctuary state. I would invite nuclear engineers to build a reactor. I would
start digging foundations immediately. I mean it! The Nuclear Regulatory
Commission will squawk and I will ignore them. NRC agents are unwelcome in my state.
A nuclear reactor is an energy gold mine that gooses the local economy. The
discard heat can heat a city, and it can heat a goose pond.
If people knew how cool reactors are, they would want one.
Nuclear reactors are a mature technology, they're unconditionally safe, and they're cheap.
The only thing that can go wrong is a natural disaster.
Just don't build it on a coast or in an earthquake zone.
The reason we haven't seen these glorious new reactors is that no new reactors have been built in decades. The government won't let us have nice things.
The only reason reactors are expensive is because of senseless regulations.
America owns the history of nuclear engineering. American nuclear engineers
are badass. Have faith in them. Throw out the regulations book.
Uranium fuel is a negligible cost. Once you build a reactor it cranks out energy forever.
Canada has infinite uranium.
The left likes carbon capture. The best way to capture carbon is with trees, but
you need nitrogen fertilizer. Nitrogen fertilizer is produced by combining natural gas
with a nuclear reactor. Natural gas provides hydrogen and the reactor
provides heat. Nitrogen fixation is the starting point for a large part of the chemical industry.
The future of space war hinges on isotope rockets using Californium-151 and Californium-252, which you need a reactor to produce.
Now that the Fed has gone to the dark side, the only way to get stuff done is through
states.

The Trump energy miracle! Oil and natural gas expanded 25% under Trump, and they held their ground
through the plague. Oil and natural gas decreased under Obama.
Most of the hydrocarbon energy is in red states. They should secede, and also build nuclear
reactors.

Canada has vast hydrocarbons. We need for Red Canada to secede and merge with Red America to
form Camerica.

Your ideas could be a viable solution, but we still need "sea ports" and I'm not sure if the Mississippi could handle the traffic!!! So, we might have to carve off some coast line!!!!!

There is no logical reason to propose a big jump in fuel prices like the 70s.
King Hubbert’s economic model predicted both fuel spikes in the 70s and 2006 - 30 years before the first event.
Fortunately, economics ALWAYS trumps politics (no pun intended) and a Biden administration will find itself almost impotent to command the kind of changes to meet the promises of their rhetoric.
But you can bet they will still blame their failures on Constitutionalists.
