Is there a family court for states? Do states have to go to intermediation too?
@Tom81 Part of what the U.S. Supreme Court was created for was to solve disputes between states. That's one of the things that makes their silence on Texas vs. those 5 states that had such blatant offenses against the Constitution so criminal. Only the Supreme Court can handle disputes between states and they refused.
And yes, peaceful separation CAN happen. I believe that strongly. It's also a matter of doing what's right, even if it isn't popular.
Secession! Secession! State conventions. States came into the nation voluntarily. They can then LEAVE the nation voluntarily. Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Taney told Lincoln that the Constitution allowed for secession & Lincoln threatened him with jail if he said that opinion in public. John Roberts was frightened into not taking legal cases. History repeats.
Ohio, Indiana and other Midwest states should start considering this, too, along with southerners. Let's do this.
