Question

The Loony Left needs Us to conform to it's high standards and ethics. We must abandon logic and embrace our inner victim. We must go to the hardware store and loot paint color swatches so that We may compare the acceptable colors to the worthy victims. We must not fall to the trap of considering a persons worth to their actions or knowledge for that is the way of evil. We must know We are right even though the facts are against Us for they to are evil and will rob Us of well earned self-righteousness. For ours is the kingdom of the Woke and our dogma is strong. Let us loot and get free stuff for ever and ever cause what could go wrong?

In order for something to become a standard, it has to be consistently applicable. For example, for a ruler to measure something correctly, the hashmarks have to be consistent compared against a universal standard. A ruler that where the millimeter hashmarks are 1.3mm apart instead of 1mm apart does not adhere to standards.

Where am I going with this?

We cannot conform to the "high standards" of the Left because those standards change depending on who they're being applied to. A man walks into a women's locker room, and he's in the wrong. But a man who identifies as a woman walks into a women's locker room, he's in the right and they're in the wrong, if they complain about him.

These so-called "standards" are nothing more than emotional reactions to any given situation, and as any emotionally intelligent person knows, emotions are by their very nature illogical. We are told that a man must have clear direct consent from a women prior to engaging in sexual relations, but then we are also told that if she chooses to withdraw consent AFTER sexual relations, then the man has committed rape, under the standard, "it's only necessary that you FEEL as if you've been raped." You think I'm making that up? Go back and read about what happened to Aziz Ansari at the height of the "Me Too" movement.

Or let's talk about blackface. Blackface is apparently so racist that any white person who dons it must be cancelled, fired from his job, shunned by polite society. You can't even discuss it: Megyn Kelly's show was canceled by NBC after she merely defended the use of blackface in one segment. Episodes of "30 Rock" and "Scrubs" have been permanently pulled over accusations of blackface. They're even attacking the original "Mary Poppins" as promoting blackface because of the chimney scene. So that's the standard, right? Well...except for those white people who happen to reside on the political Left, such as Jimmy Fallon, Virginia governor Ralph Northam or Canadian PM Justin Trudeau. Then it's okay that they did blackface, because they're "really, really sorry they did that and understand why it was wrong."

If standards cannot be equally applied, then there are no standards. Only whims.
