You are wrong . Equality and equity is the same thing only feminists and other Marxists has sold it to Americans and Westerns as something else. Equality under the law is not social equality and that is what equality as a word is used for. Rule of law is term used for equality under the law.

Russia is actually and has been multi ethnic for centuries. Multi racial thing is more American thing. No one in Europe really talks about whites and blacks, but in German or French terms. But make no mistake, ethnicity can be as divisive as race or it can be as unifying as race. It depends on the time and place. During communist revolution there were actually less than 50% Russians in the country.

But you are correct that communism in general tries to find something that is a weak spot of a country and cane be exploited by firing up the tensions between groups. Class consciousness, called it Marx. In America today there are more artificially invented divisions and identity groups than there are real ones. Yeah, probably, but I think he is also afraid that it does not come into Russia because that is the real virus to worry about. Plus , Putin for all his flaws does not strike me as an ideologue or crazy. He strikes me as a programmatic patriot with KGB training , something he needs to stay in politics in places like Russia.
