Although I agree with the basic premise of the speaker, I believe the focus should be on the fact that murdering a baby is not the same thing as a woman’s rights to her own body or a health or medical access issue.

It comes down to the fact that we do have certain rights to our own freedom, but we don’t have the rights to that freedom when it harms another person with those same rights.

With that in mind, the only way a person has the right to kill another person is if that other person is attempting to kill a person. That changes the taking of that life from murder to self defense; a right. Contract murders (paying/hiring somebody to commit the murders) do not qualify as self defense.

The murder not only takes the life of the murder victim, it also causes damage to most women who participate in this murder of their own babies. This damage may not be immediately apparent, but once they fully comprehend what they’ve done, the emotional trauma can be debilitating.

The way baby-murder advocates have gotten away with this crime is by claiming that the person they are murdering is of less value than themselves or even sub-human. This same argument was used to minimize the lynching murders of slaves.

It is a technique employed by psychological operations personnel within governments. An example of this would be the dehumanization of the Japanese during WWII by the American government that depicted the Japanese people as an ape-like race. (In the same way, the Japanese government was able to keep their race “pure” for so long by teaching that non-Japanese people were at a lower level of evolution as is obvious by how much more hairy (ape-like) than Japanese men. This aided their ability to kill non-Japanese soldiers without remorse.

During wartime, this was expedient, because the military personnel were required to take the lives of the enemy without hesitation and this caused irreparable damage to the psyche of a large percentage of the personnel who had to do this in an other-than-self-defense situation. Even with this attempt to justify the taking of a life, most of the people who killed enemy soldiers in an other-than-self-defense situation suffer from the trauma to their psyche, especially when they see the enemy up close and recognize them as fully human.
