Carter pulled the same crappola when he was running for worst Pres in US history. Limited speed on highway <55mph.
Cars were designed to be more efficient >55mph. But, that is a fact and useless TWOT's like that can't be bothered. It is virtue signaling, and the unwillingness of anyone in MSM to ask for explanation and then run the nonsense that results -- if they aren't ignored in the first place.

Although she has many good points, I believe she may be foreseeing the future incorrectly. I believe like her that this is all an attempt by the powerful (politicians, etc… ) to force the common man to seek other (green) modes of transportation, but rather than making it illegal to own and operated a vehicle, it will be out of reach to the vast majority of people. Only the richest/most powerful will have the right to own and drive a vehicle (at least one that doesn’t meet the rule makers’ description of an acceptable vehicle).
