As to paypal, certainly don't leave any money there. Could just fire up an account to make a purchase and then leave it be. They can't take what they can't touch. And, a $0 account costs them.

They have backed off. Apparently, when their stock price suddenly tanked they decided it was a “mistake”. 
Their latest terms of service gave them the right to access your bank account and withdraw $2500.00 USD! WITH OUT YOUR PERMISSION! The money did not need to be in your PayPal account!!!
Do not link your bank account to ANY OF THESE PAYMENT SERVICES!
Sound advice, since they have already shown that they will be scouring the internet for your "misinformation" posts to raise their cash flow. What else could they be spying on?
