Generally speaking, in past eras I would tend to agree with that approach. I believe that today Ron DeSantis or someone very much like him is desperately needed.

True and he certainly is young enough to wait another two years, but can the country wait? If we don’t get an honest man in the nation’s executive branch soon, we may never see an honest qualified man leading our country again. Although Trump was clearly the better choice in 2020, we ended up with a basement puppet in the White House. We can expect the same nonsense in 2024, except thatTrump isn’t campaigning from the White House. Weather the basement puppet was installed purely by fraud or because Trump was so distasteful to the demonicrats that they came out in force to vote against him, nothing has changed in his favor.

@Neo-Tech border control is a good thing. If you can't regulate who comes and goes in your country, then how are you expected to protect your citizens? Or are they no longer worthy of protection? They pay the government for that protection in taxes. So stop paying tax. See how quickly that protection argument comes back

It sounds like you’re confused about border control. It’s like locks on the doors of your home or car or a fence around your property. You don’t lock your doors or gates to keep your family in, you do it to keep others out without your express permission to enter. If somebody wants to come in, they either need to ask permission or they’ll be deterred from entering. Every time we leave the house and every night when we fo to bed, we lock the doors. It might not stop somebody who is a threat from breaking in, but it will slow them down and alert me if they do break in. Then my second amendment rights protect me further along with the Free State of Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” laws.

Like border control, my locked doors allow ME to determine if the one seeking entry should be given permission to enter or not. I welcome a lot of people who aren’t even my family or friends to enter my home with my permission, just as our country allows a lot of people to enter our country with permission. We even allow millions to become members of the American family who seek it and wait for permission. I have invited a foreign National to become a member of my family and she still needed permission to enter the country until she became a permanent legal alien (starting with her fiancée visa and, after all the security checks and the tests and scrutinization, she swore allegiance to this country and its laws (especially its constitution) and became a citizen 7 or 8 years later. Her parents became citizens almost 20 years later and all have contributed to the betterment of this country. Her sister, on the other hand was denied entry.

Although the legal path to entry into the country may not be easy, there is a reason for it. Those who follow the rules and don’t try to “break and enter” don’t usually appreciate those who choose to break the rules and cut in line ahead of those trying to come in through the front door. We could have snuck my sister-in-law into the country by flying her to Canada and driving her across the border decades ago, but that would be breaking and entering and we stand firmly against breaking a just law just because it benefits us or those we love.

Those examples certainly exist. Fortunately, in the US we have the 2nd Amendment. Less than 1% of our population is in the military and we have more guns in the hands of trained gun owners than any other country. If anybody tried to turn the US into that type of prison, the most powerful military in the world would be able to stop them. Even if our own government tried to use our military to illegally turn our country into a prison, the well trained weapon owners and the loyal Americans and those within the military and within our law enforcement agencies will be more than sufficient to protect and defend the constitution of the US.

That’s the main reason the WEF and Charles Schwab and others like them want to take down the US.

Glad I don’t live there. I’ve seen a lot of sheriffs and their departments that refused to enforce any of the edicts politicians or their appointees demand because they are unconstitutional. The state police in the Free State of Florida tend to be on the side of law and order as well since they have the support of the best Governor (DeSantis) in the country.
