Either it is a legitimate thing that should be applied uniformly based upon specific, agreed upon criteria (1st degree murder: willfulness, deliberation, and premeditation) or it shouldn’t be accepted as legitimate at all.

They call it a “hate crime” (bias/prejudice crime) because it presupposes a motive based upon what group the victim belongs to. The bias/prejudice, in the case of labeling a crime as a “hate crime” is on the part of those making the assumption and an attempt to force their bias/prejudice on others.

I don’t argue that we should demand that it be applied only to leftist causes, rather that it should be used uniformly or not at all. (Preferably not at all). Since they have used it regularly for their purposes, it should be used against them also. When the victim is a member of a Muslim or other non-Christian religion, they are quick to use the term, so it should be used if the victim is a Christian.

Well, kudos to you, but Boomer truth regime does not have power here. Crazy ass lefty lunatics do. the world you speak of is long gone and buried and its not coming back anytime soon. And when it comes back it will be because people put once again lot of time and effort in building it. eventually, as these things happen, generations of their children and children of their children will take it for granted and squander it away, once again.

@Krunoslav “Kali Yuga” similar to the pendulum swing reaching the end of its cycle. I have discussed many times how politics tend to operate like a pendulum with over-correction in the opposite direction.

I was in the American military after the Viêt Nam police action had decimated our reputation. I stayed in through years when I was despised because of my military commitment and it gradually moved (and finally convulsed) into the opposite direction after events like 9/11. Then, we were loved and cheered in an exaggerated fashion simply because we wore the uniform. We received unsolicited discounts on our purchases from most businesses and were treated as heroes. I was the same person with the same commitments in both those periods and was treated in opposite manners depending upon the period. After analyzing our military history, I saw this was a repeated phenomenon throughout and then I saw it happens with politics and in many parts of life. People tend to err in one direction only to overcompensate later making that the new temporary norm.

I don’t know if we’re at the end of the cycle yet or if this will be the time we go off the rails completely and destroy our society completely. History tells us that no superpower endures forever and they usually disintegrate from within. The USA is following that model perfectly. Only God knows what He has planned for us, but there’s nothing in the Bible indicating that we will have any power when He returns and puts an end to all the evil. I guess that’s a reason not to worry too much about our downfall.
