2305050400F IS THE NEXT MAJOR WAR TO BE WAGED BETWEEN AI (Artificial Intelligence) AND THE MORE IMPORTANT TRANSMOGRIFICATION OF AI (Abstract Innovation)?
Pardon my ignorance in these matters, but isn’t all this hysteria about machine learning & application “Much Ado About Nothing” as was once said?
Why is there this fear of “the ability to acquire and apply knowledge……” aka machine learning? Is it because someone at this late date realized that computers meant computations as well?
To exemplify, it is my understanding that Tesla made use of his ability to abstractly visualize and retain complete works rather than the typical reliance on schematics and the like. A rather magical ability that is far from any machines ability – am I wrong?
But back to realities, the real threat of AI (Artificial Intelligence) is to the humdrum mundane yet tiresome clerical jobs that feminism passes off as careers – aka cubical life in all its lack of glory. At best AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a digital office worker with the ability to discern and retain efficient ways of performing clerical tasks.
My advice to young men is to find a need then fulfill that need as a contracted self-employed individual. At some point reality will have to creep into this delusional fantasy world that’s being temporarily deployed for the weak of mind. But I digress.
A machines will always be just machines until they becomes self-aware as I’ve heard it phrased – I’ve not heard it said of AI (Artificial Intelligence) yet?
PS1. The advent of AI (Artificial Intelligence) isn’t the coming of the Borg either.
PS2. Can it (AI) mow your lawn or fix your plumbing. It can’t even change your spark plugs – wait a minute, is that why Joe wants electric automobiles so bad?
