This mans suicide is nothing to gloat about. One thing is certain. Preachers, all their preaching notwithstanding are just human men - just like you and I. Preachers are no less susceptible to temptation and mendacity and hypocrisy than you or anyone else.
How many of us (all of us?) have secrets - are guilty of committing the very acts that we rail against. How many men would find it intolerable to have their secrets so publicly revealed and punished in the public square.
No sir - suicide is nothing to gloat over. The news of his suicide makes me think "there but for the grace of God go I". May he find forgiveness and rest in peace.

You missed the part where the 'contract' says you deport yourself with impeccable morality, before 'preaching' to others.
When this snake oiling charlatan quipped ' how's that working out for you ' he was being malevolent, he was gloating over people he feels had nothing to turn to in times of need, no god or heaven during bereavement, during illness, or poverty, suffering alone, without the titheable relief of mindless belief.
His death was as lamentable as Falwell's, nothing of value was lost.
