It kept them away from innocent Australian citizens and quarantined their extremism on distant shores. In doing so, they also declared themselves citizens of a different country – the Islamic State – and stopped being our problem. After gifting millions of taxpayer dollars to various terrorist organisations (did we really need to hand the Taliban millions, Labor?) Albanese’s party has gone one better by campaigning to have terrorists ‘brought home’. Most Australians would rather they were left in the Syrian desert…
