They mostly turn a blind eye to the blatant and brutal violations of human rights, or alternatively mock coverage of the issue by asserting it is unimportant. Fifteen years in an Iranian prison for refusing to wear the hijab is unimportant to them. It’s only a headscarf, they say. Chill. I say no.
