AI is around us today, and there are many institutions and corporations working on General AI or machines learning from machines. This video is a great way to become familiar with what AI is. But I believe there is very much to be worked out in the areas of bias and ethics. This article from last year about a MIT test looks at some of that.

Hello. I kind of appreciate these people's honesty, but when they say that they don't know the right path for the future of A.I. and that they can't make long-term prediction, etc., it's a little worrisome, no?

AI based on logic..Mmmmmm.. then that rules out any liberals in this engineering group. Sorry .... I couldn’t help myself but with all the heavily depressing information 24/7, this light punch was a knee jerk.
The main thought I got from it was the idea that once its implemented it learns on its own basically from its surroundings as it recognizes patterns in behavior and such...it depends on what "problem" it is set out in finding a solution for exactly
If the idea is to "nurture" A.I., i.e., learning from its surroundings, it is important to consider what kind of surroundings it should be put in. It could easily fall into wrong hands and learn bad things... The technology itself is fascinating, though.
