This series is almost as old as Dr Who lol. It was great fun watching it every week play nostrodamus with new technology, and like most predictors it scored duds and big wins. I remember the episode where they predicted radio waves would be used to cook food in the near future then microwaves appeared about 20 years later.

Not a bad prediction.
In 1990, I was working on a masters degree in computer science and I made some predictions of my own (only to friends and family).
My predictions were far more ambitious, projecting only to the year 2000 and including built-in monitors that served as windows, TVs, telecommunication devices, paintings or moving art, etc and would be operated by verbal commands. You could be making dinner and say, “call Mom” and instantly you’d be looking at Mom and asking her, “how do you make your famous....”. From her home she’d point to one of the ingredients and say, “oh honey, you can’t use that brand of ...., it adds an off-putting aftertaste”. All this would be available to even the poorest people because the government would subsidize the installation in housing. (Although I also predicted that since they paid for it you wouldn’t be legally allowed to disable it. This would give them access to eyes and ears in almost every home).
I also talked about mobile phones that would take the form of earrings and lip or nose rings. (Similar risks to private)
Clearly I wasn’t as good at this predicting the future as these people.
