@N0DD absolutely. The concept of economy applies to everything from finances to digestion to respiration. Economy measures efficiency and function. When a species can no longer successfully obtain enough calories to survive or oxygen to breath, it goes extinct, just as loss of value in a monetary system reduces buying power or wealth.

It seems that the greatest distinction from the flu is the violence of the death. So far, it seems that socialism and progressivism have been hardest hit. In America, the sanctuary cities have been hit the hardest. Globally, socialized medicine has failed its nations. America is weathering the storm of COVID-19 due to the success of the Trump economy and the President's timely and efficient response. Our economy is the greater threat to more lives than the virus, unfortunately for the President, he is caught in a catch-22. Those who are perpetually sniveling and playing politics with this situation by criticizing the travel ban, suing the travel ban, protesting border protection, supporting sanctuary cities, now splitting hairs over Trump's response don't care a wit about the health of a single soul. That it is being done nationally by the Chinese media, and the CCP Democrat Party spotlights the intentional nature of this biological attack. The Left is not concerned about virus or afraid of dying from it, because they know what this is. They've given away the ghost. Recovery is not far away, this time the death of the Left will be finalized.

@Facci. We agree. But "The violence of death" may not be very much different for the flu. How would we know? I don't know, just as I was unaware of the true fatality of the flu and the common cold. Now that I know, I don't consider COVID-19 much different. Dying by drowning in one's own fluids is what all respiratory death have in common. We agree that we did not lockdown before because of it.

@Facci, If I were a Fascist, I would take advantage of the virus, no matter how it happened, even if it were costing my country lives. For some people who are motivated by power, people are irrelevant, and so are viruses, rights and liberty.

@Facci. Well informed! But not only was the genetic sequence of the virus clearly showing an unfalsifiable forensic path of development, its "release" was incompetent, if intentional, and would inevitably taint China. There would be better ways, including planting it in the US, with its completely porous borders, and presence of a very large contingent of Chinese nationals here. That would have been practically impossible to attribute to China. I believe this was a crime of opportunity.
