destroying cultural monuments should be on the law books as treason. Penal colony of like minded misanthropes would be appropriate. or in a Alabama chain gang.

My biggest problem with tearing down historical monuments is that they were put there by another era for a purpose. I don't like grave stones removed, either. They weren't paid for by your generation but they were to serve as a reminder TO your generation. Usually, they serve as a reminder of tragedies but even when they don't it's not for you to decide to remove because you are discomforted. I am highly offended by my liberties being robbed of me. The majority of the people in the US civil war didn't own slaves and were told it was about sovereignty and they believed it. We're on the verge of another civil conflict because people believe that their rights are being removed. It's not really the time to remove them all things considered.
On a side note, most racists--and they exist--don't dare do black face because their whole career would be ended. Oliver Peck got yanked off Ink Master for being caught doing black face.
BUT
The Governor of Virginia--someone who supports them being removed-- got caught doing black face and his dipshit lt got caught sexually harassing women. THEY should be torn down. THEY should be removed if this is about racial equality. He is an actual racist and his LT is a sexist.
When they remove him forcibly from office I will believe that the white kids tearing down the statues are sincere and not paid patsies. Real justice is getting the live racist out not pulling down a stone statue of a dead guy.

The average Confederate soldier fought to repel an invasion of his homeland. He didn't fight to the death, by the hundreds of thousands, barefoot and hungry, to defend some 1%er plantation owner's right to own thousands of slaves. The toppling of the monuments to these soldiers is the saddest thing I've seen.

I would rather fight actual racists but this isn't about racism or statues. It is about what they are paid to do. Project Veritas posted the meeting videos.
The worst part is a lot of black people think these little white ANTIFA assholes actually care. The smart ones don't. My friend was at the Atlanta protest and said it was a bunch of white boys in black starting all the violence.
Sorry, he's not a native North Carolina conservative, it's his "adopted home state". Just another carpet-bagging Yankee. There are tons of these transplants in my home state (not adopted) as well. They flee Michigan, New York, New Jersey, California, etc. due to taxes, crime, cost of living and so forth. Then they move to the South and vote in local elections for the same liberal causes, the results of which caused them to leave their own states in the first place! Pisses me off, royally.
